Maritime House ( grade two listed ), Sunnyside, Sunderland - Working with BDN consulting engineers and Red Box Architects we successfully produced a solution to the difficult problem of acoustic protection within the existing floors. The design team were eager to find a solution without removing the existing timber floors and by using a Lewis Dovetailed Sheet composit steel and concrete screed floor deck Sunderland Housing were able to leave the floors intact whilst at the same time provide a fantastic solid concrete surface ready to accept the finished floor coverings.
