Maxit LWA Lightweight Aggregate is a versatile lightweight material made from clay and expanded in rotary kilns at temperatures up to 1150 deg C to form small lightweight ceramic granules with a honeycomb core. Extremely versatile, LWA is suitable for a wide range of applications such as roads and rail embankments, bridge construction, structural back fill against retaining walls, foundations and abutments, sub-base under concrete slabs and pipe filling. Its unique properties help solve a number of different problems including load bearing and thermal issues.
